Another riddle...

We wrote a new riddle! It's a tricky one...

I can change colours.
I am fluffy.
If you can reach me, you can go through me.
I am in the sky.
What am I?

In math we have been working on expanded notation.
So the number 37 would expand to 30 + 7.
We are working on using this when adding two numbers.

35 + 21

35 would equal 30 + 5
21 would equal 20 + 1
You can add the tens together first.                   30 + 20 = 50
Then you add the ones together.                        5 + 1    = 6
Then you put the numbers back together so      50 + 6 = 56

What am I?

In room 25, we are learning about writing riddles. We started reading riddles from other people and some riddles from Ms. Moffatt. Then we made our own riddle. To write a riddle, you need to think of an answer before you start.

Sometimes I am big.
I can be made of paper.
You look at me when you are lost.
You can see places on me.

What am I?

Sometimes I lead you to treasure.

Gingerbread Houses!

We came into the classroom and we were ready to make GINGERBREAD HOUSES but...

The gingerbread boys and girls stole ALL THE SUPPLIES that we need to make the gingerbread houses. They left us a note that said...

We looked for the gingerbread man clues all over the school. They took us back to our classroom where all the candy was. Then we got to...MAKE GINGERBREAD HOUSES!! 

We listened to christmas songs and sat by the fireplace. The fireplace was on the smart board. 

After we were done we watched how the grinch stole christmas! Making gingerbread houses was...
FUN, AWESOME, EXCITING, GOO-EY, FANTASTIC, SUPER-AWESOME annnd DELICIOUS!
