 YUM!!!!!

We liked making gingerbread men. Next week we are going to make gingerbread houses!

Yesterday we did writing about our lives as gingerbread cookies. Here is some of our ideas:
The hardest part about being a gingerbread cookie is...
"Being chased by a bear..." - Daren
"Living" - Julia
"Running away from people" - Lyrin
"Hungry people!" - Eddie

The best part about being a gingerbread cookie is...
"You get to eat your feet!" - Gaby
"Having a friend!" - Jillian
"Eating gingerbread girls!" - Bryce
"You never get hungry!" - Duncan

This morning for our morning job we made words out of the letters GINGERBREAD! Look at our list! Gaby came up with the most words.

It's Gingerbread Week

We've been so busy the last two days with our GINGERBREAD WEEK!

We used the laptops to make gingerbread houses. There were 3 options for gingerbread houses.

Then, Ms. Moffatt let us go on PHOTO BOOTH! Photo booth is when you take pictures or videos with whatever you like, such as chipmunks faces, bug-eye, aliens and you can also do effects on the video like going on a roller coaster.

"Ms. Moffatt just snuck into Julia's picture!" - Gaby

We are doing gingerbread math centres. The centres are:
1. Gingerbread place value memory
2. Fact Families
3. Roll a Gingerbread (with dice and a white board)
4. Graphing the gingerbread house candies
5. Odd and Even gingerbread sort
6. Smartboard Gingerbread games
7. Graphing the gingerbread spins
8. Gingerbread Bump

Here are some pictures from our centres:

Snowy Silhouettes

What a fun week!

This week we made "Snowy Silhouettes". First we made black swirls on the paper and then we used water colour paints to make spirals and snowflakes. After it dried, we cut out black paper to make winter silhouettes like snowmen, trees, penguins and igloos.

And then TADA! A "Snowy Silhouette"...

It is even.
If you double my number you get 8.
What is my number?
Check the bottom for the answer!
